What does it mean for follow Jesus at school? What would it be like to follow Jesus around one day? What would he do?
The bible tells us Jesus loved praying and being with children.
Mark 1:35 (NIV) Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Matt 19:14 (NIV) Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’
Matt 9:35 (NIV) Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and illness.
The bible tells us Jesus loved helping people, Jesus was a good friend. Jesus encouraged people. He taught people about God. He also did normal things like ate food, slept, and cleaned his room! Jesus taught his disciples to think like him, be like him and do the same things he did.
I can do the things Jesus did. I can pray, love and serve the people at my school and I can talk to people about God.
Jesus, show me who you notice at my school. Who can I be a good friend to? Who can I help? Who can I talk to about God today?
